Successful People all have one thing in common: They have consistent behaviors that have been instilled in them over years of striving for success. These behaviors have become like second nature and guides them when they feel lost, unsure or in need of guidance. Through studying the High Achievers in life it is possible to replicate their success by replicating their behaviors.
Below are (what I have found to be) the 7 Behaviors of High Achievers:
1) Find your WHY!
I have spoken about this over and over to people that following me on the net, friends, family and even my children (3 and 7 yers old). Finding your why is what keeps successful people going. When the times are really tough Willpower will NOT cut it. you will need a reason, a purpose, a WHY to push you to keep on going
2) Daily Consistency
Building a business, growing in life, being a better person, what ever your goals in life are .. REMEMBER .. it is not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Success is not achieved in working 24 hours a day for 30 days (and then burn out). Success is achieved by working 1 hour a day for a few years, learning from mistakes and celebrating successes.
Starting now (#GiganticAction), set aside 1 hour a day to work on you goals (business, health, wealth, spiritual etc). Here is a quick step by step to guide you:
- Write down what you want to achieve in the next hour
- Turn off ALL distraction (phone, Facebook, TV etc)
- Set a timer for 60 minutes
- Do what you set out to do for 60 minutes, do not get up. Not even to go to the toilet.
Every day we learn new things. What is good, bad, increases productivity, decreases productivity, what helped a client and what did not. The only way to really learn is to reflect on what you did and look at the results. Do this after your 1 hour of consistent action.
Write it down and follow these steps:
- What did I learn
- What will I do differently next time
- How can I be more effective with my time
Sometimes we need a partner or a team to keep pushing us. Find an accountability partner (1 person or group) and commit to update each other on progress on a weekly basis. If you know you have to report on your results, you will most likely stick to your plans.
5) Abundance Mindset
All successful people have developed an abundance mindset throughout their lives. They commit to giving more that what they receive (the universe is abundant) and in turn receive even more.
DO NOT HORDE. Share, give and be open to receiving even more.
Successful People ACT (#GiganticAction). They do not let doubt and fear get in their way (although they most definitely experience it). They will make a decision and figure out HOW to do it later. If they struggle to figure it out, or get stuck, the go to Number 7.
7) Reach out for Help
Successful people do not ask for help all they time, but when they get stuck they reach out to their support structures for assistance. It is important that you have the correct community surrounding you. A community of people that have the same drive as you or that have achieved what you want to achieve.
If you are the smartest one in your community of friends and business .. change .. or your WILL NOT GROW and will not be able to get the help that you need.
